What is freight consolidation ?
We combine numerous shipments from one area into a single load that is transported by a carrier to a different area, this is known as freight consolidation. The shipment is divided up into smaller pieces and distributed to a variety of locations by a regional carrier. They are either picked up by a local carrier to be combined into a single shipment and delivered to their destination, or the opposite occurs. For shippers who routinely transport a few pallets or lesser quantities of goods, freight consolidation is suitable.
